Part I: Taking off from Pisco Airport.
At the designated hour, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Pisco or Paracas.
Shortly after we head towards the Pisco airport, located outside of Pisco city.
Once at the airport, our guide will provide information about the flight.
Unlike the Nazca planes, in Pisco, we take a bigger plane, a Cessna Caravan for 12 participants.
Before taking off, the pilot will provide a Nazca Lines Map for orientation.
Afterward, we will fly south, towards the Nazca desert, located approximately 140 km away.
Along the way, visitors may enjoy beautiful aerial views of the Peruvian coast.
Part II: Flying Over the Pampa of Nazca.
Once over the Nazca desert, the pilot will point out the first figure.
The first geoglyphs we will see is the whale, which measures 65 meters in length.
In order to appreciate the drawings, the plane will fly in circles over each figure.
During our flight, we will see the most popular animal drawings.
Among them, we will see animals like a dog, a frog, and many others.
Likewise, we can also find birds, like a parrot, a condor, and a heron as long as 300 m.
Without a doubt, the most bizarre image of all is a human being figure with big eyes.
This human representation is called the Astronaut and measures 35 meters in length.
Unlike the other figures, the astronaut was etched on a hillside and not on the flat ground.
Part III: Flying over the Pampa of Jumana.
One of the most impressive drawings is the monkey located on the Pampa of Jumana.
Unlike the other figures, the monkey is perfectly represented on the desert ground.
We can see clearly its entire body with a peculiar curled tail and head.
Another spectacular drawing is the hummingbird, which is beautifully represented in flight.
According to scholars, this bird is associated with the summer solstice.
Additionally, you will see geometric shapes that resemble airstrips and hundreds of lines.
Finally, we will fly back to the Pisco airport.
End of the tour.
