Upon arrival, you’ll be assisted with the check-in process, receive a detailed pre-flight briefing, a
Nazca Lines Map, and proceed through the airport’s secure boarding facilities.
Part II: Scenic Flight in a Cessna Grand Caravan
You will board a Cessna Grand Caravan, a high-wing aircraft renowned for its stability and panoramic visibility—ideal for sightseeing flights. With a 6-passenger capacity, the aircraft is designed to ensure that every traveler gets a guaranteed window seat for optimal viewing. As the aircraft takes off, prepare to witness the vast desert landscape transform into a canvas of ancient artistry from the air.
Part IV: Overflight of the Nazca Geoglyphs
Soon after takeoff, just after two minutes, you wi ll soar above the legendary Nazca Lines, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among the highlights, you’ll see iconic figures such as The Hummingbird, The Monkey, The Condor, The Spider, The Hands, and The Astronaut, among others. The pilot performs gentle maneuvers in both directions, allowing passengers on either side of the plane to enjoy unobstructed views of each geoglyph.
Part III: Enigmatic Palpa Lines and Human Figures
As the flight continues, we head south toward the Palpa region, where you will find the enigmatic Palpa Lines. Unlike the more famous Nazca figures, many of these geoglyphs are etched onto hillsides and depict intricate anthropomorphic beings—some with large eyes, elaborate headgear, and complex patterns. These mysterious forms are believed to be even older than the Nazca Lines and raise fascinating questions about their creators and purpose.
